PARENT/GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

I understand that competitive cheerleading is a team sport and that it cannot be taken away from the athlete as a consequence for bad behaviour at home or at school. Also, homework load/revision is not an acceptable excuse for missing training.

I understand that training may be changed or added at any time during the season.

I understand I must be contactable by phone when the athletes are at training and competitions.

I understand that good sportsmanship will be practiced at all times while representing WSA, in person and on social media. Every parent is expected to exhibit good conduct and to be a positive ambassador of our program every day, as well as at trainings, events and competitions.

I understand that it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to know what is going on with your athlete’s team. Team Facebook pages and emails will be used for updates and last-minute changes, especially on competition days.

I understand that the decisions of the coaching staff are final.

I understand that no crossover placements are guaranteed on any team and athletes may be moved if not able to perform required skills for that team, or if their attitude doesn’t meet the coach’s expectations.

I understand that I must bring and collect my athlete on time every week and that competition meeting times are to be abided by.

If my athlete is unable to attend, I will contact the coach as soon as possible.

I understand that all fees are non-refundable. These fees are calculated at the start of the season based on the teams and athletes we have registered for that year.

I understand that subs are spread equally over 12 months (Sept-Aug), so payments are required every month, regardless of the number of training sessions that months.

I understand that should my athlete opt to withdraw after the registration process, all outstanding competition fees will be due immediately in their entirety upon termination.
